Thirty four species were observed by ten intrepid members of the Augusta Bird Club this morning at McCormick’s Farm. Despite the cold and wind, many great sightings were observed. A flight of sparkling Killdeer rising from the field into the sunlight to Cedar Waxwings throughout the walk; beautiful views of a Hermit Thrush, Red-breasted Nuthatch and Golden-crowned Kinglet enthralled the group. Ducks, hawks and woodpeckers completed the walk. Many thanks to all the participants for your exceptional skills and camaraderie. Love all of you. Cheers! – Jo King
