Eleven members of the Augusta Bird Club met on this balmy summer day to conduct a field study of resident and migrating birds. Thirty eight species total were recorded. Of special interest were an immature Double-crested Cormorant, Green Herons, a Great Blue Heron, an adult male American Redstart, a Belted Kingfisher, and a Red-shouldered Hawk. At the conclusion, in the parking lot, an immature and adult Bald Eagle, two Ravens and a Chipping Sparrow were happily observed. Many thanks to all my fellow birders.
