Membership
information

From an initial membership of 30, when it was founded in 1966, the Augusta Bird Club has grown to about 170 members today. Over the years, club members have enthusiastically participated in the Breeding Bird Surveys, countless hours of fall hawk watching at Rockfish Gap and the Virginia Atlas Project (1984-1989) where members contributed over one thousand records of 131 species in 20 atlas blocks.

Membership is open to anyone irrespective of residence. Our membership year runs from January through December, but you may join at any time of year. All inquiries regarding membership issues (new memberships, renewals, or other questions) should be addressed to:

Ramona Bearor
Membership Chair
Augusta Bird Club

(Replace "_AT_" with the "@" symbol.)

To join, or to renew your existing membership, just send a check for the appropriate amount (see below) to the above address. You may download the membership form and print it yourself, or else use the new online membership renewal option on the Bird Seed Sale page. Please include your name(s), mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address (optional), along with a check made payable to "Augusta Bird Club." Also please indicate whether you would like to receive the club newsletter via e-mail or regular mail. To help the club save on postage expenses, it would be appreciated if members pay for the following year during one of the fall club meetings, so that it won't be necessary to send out renewal notices.
